This old Kay archtop guitar belonged to my grandfather (left). He gave it to me over 20 years ago when I wanted to take a guitar class in high school. It has been with me ever since.

I know only a little about the Kay guitar company, and that their guitars were a cheap alternative for students who didn't have a lot of money to spend on a Gibson or Martin. I also read that, as a result of them being cheap, there are fewer of them around than their more expensive counterparts, as they were more likely to be thrown away than repaired.

I have done searches on Kay, and there is some information about some of their models. But NOTHING on the Kay Superb name.
