The Rodeo Photos
So your skeptical, huh? Well, here's the proof:
Okay, sometime during high school in the early-mid 1980's, I got the brainy idea to ride rough stock events,
and my dad proudly made the arrangements. I had the time of my life, and us girls got more attention than the
barrel racers did. Between 1982 and 1984, I broke my leg, my jaw, my arm, and won three buckles. And, I
wouldn't trade a minute of it for the world!

Here I am about to be bucked off at the Livermore Jr. Rodeo. See my right arm in the picture at the right?
LOOK MOM, NO HANDS!! |

| The controversial bull ride at the Sonora Jr. Rodeo. Girls were not supposed to compete in this
event, but they did not specify this on the entry blank. They drew my bull before they realized their mistake,
and had to let me ride! |

The "Wild Cow Riding" event at Half Moon Bay. I won the buckle at this two day rodeo. |
Out of the chute of Martinez! I took the buckle in this "Steer Riding" event.

This picture proves that I can smile at just about anything! This is at the Northern California Jr.
Rodeo Finals, 1984. That's my dad, behind the chutes. My final rodeo competition, I was awarded the buckle
at this rodeo. |
